This guide covers day-one profile setup through steady-state operations, with rules and checklists for each phase.

Account Security & Environment

2FA Setup (Google SSO login)

Reddit 2FA is not under Password & authentication — it lives under Safety & Privacy.

1. Sign in to Reddit with Google
2. Forgot password → set a standalone Reddit password (Google SSO accounts need a Reddit password before 2FA can be enabled)
3. Settings → Safety & Privacy → Two-factor authentication → enable (Authenticator app recommended)
